The Chevy 427 and the Chevy 434 are the same engines just with a .030″ difference in bore size. We build our 427 Long Blocks as a mild street engine that typically makes about 520hp on the dyno. We build our 434 Long Blocks as a more radical engine that typically makes close to 600hp on the dyno.

The Chevy 427 Long Block / Chevy 434 Long Block  includes:

  • New Brodix / Dart  4.125” bore, 2 pc rear seal, aftermarket block
  • 4 coats of high quality ceramic engine paint. We have our engines professionally sprayed with a 2 part paint just like you would use on a car but a special high temp version. This is not a cheap “rattle can” paint job that will wear off. This is a show quality paint job!
  • Forged Molnar crankshaft- 4” stroke
  • Forged Molnar H beam rods 6”
  • DSS Racing forged pistons
  • Performance racing bearings
  • Plasma Moly rings
  • Computerized balance
  • Built in house
  • All clearances set and provided on build sheet
  • Compression Ratio- 10.5:1
  • Brodix Dragon Slayer cylinder heads- CNC chamber, 225cc intake port, 2.080/1.600 valves. Flows over 300 cfm!
  • Double roller timing chain

  • Customer roller camshaft- this cam works with carburation and fuel injection and has a moderate lopey idle with the 427 and a choppy idle with the 434.
